About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s high-performing engineering team in Auckland.
This position plays a key role in delivering electrical and control solutions for complex process plant projects, with responsibilities spanning from initial design through to installation support and commissioning.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, electrical contractors, panel builders, and internal engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, and automation) to ensure solutions are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

- Support tendering and project delivery by defining electrical scope, preparing cost estimates, and assisting with procurement activities
- Coordinate and review work from external design providers (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD, switchboard and panel builders) to ensure quality and consistency
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., AS/NZS 3000 and IEC standards), as well as client HSE and quality requirements
- Provide on-site technical support, including installation oversight, testing, fault-finding, and contractor coordination
- Participate in commissioning activities (FAT/SAT), support control system integration, and contribute to project handover documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including drawings, calculations, and test documentation
- Collaborate with automation, installation, and project teams to deliver safe, integrated, and maintainable plant solutions
- Travel to client sites as required to support installation, commissioning, and project handover

- Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000, IEC) and a strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within New Zealand, Australia, and internationally as required
