
Senior Barista

About you:
We are on the look-out for a keen and enthusiastic standout barista to join our team at our College Street cafe. If creating and delivering top notch coffee is your passion, then this is the role for you!
This role involves delivering a high level of service and quality, greeting customers, operating the till system, ensuring packaging coffee and Front of House support all whilst working alongside a great team to provide an excellent customer experience.
Day to day in this role you will:
- Work alongside our FOH and barista team to ensure that every cup of coffee is of the same high quality standard, consistency and presentation
- Taste and test our standard and special blends to ensure that the coffee is being prepared and served in the best possible way.
- Provide an excellent coffee experience to our L'affare customers
- Manage grinder calibration, espresso machine maintenance, and quality control checks
- Support café management with opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures
- Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management
- Lead by example and motivate those around you, execute drink preparation, service and a spirit of genuine hospitality.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A genuine love for coffee and the hospitality industry and is eager to share their knowledge and experience.
- At least 3 years experience with strong technical barista skills in all areas of preparation: brewing, espresso, latte art
- The ability to build strong relationships with both coworkers and our customers.
- Strong multi-tasking skills in a high-volume service environment
This is a part-time opportunity with some weekend work required.
