Scrum Master - Leading bank of UAE

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for our Risk and Regulatory Reporting portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scrum and Agile methodologies, with the ability to coach teams, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and drive the successful delivery of technology initiatives. The role requires excellent stakeholder management, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and a continuous improvement mindset. Exposure to AI-enabled initiatives and modern delivery practices will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Leadership

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and servant leadership.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution and delivery.

Delivery Management

• Lead the Agile delivery of projects within the Risk and Regulatory Reporting portfolio.
• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and maintain healthy product backlogs.
• Track sprint progress, delivery milestones, dependencies, risks, and key Agile metrics.
• Ensure timely delivery of business requirements while maintaining quality standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Technology Teams, and Delivery Managers.
• Provide regular project updates, sprint dashboards, and delivery reports.
• Facilitate effective communication across business and technology teams to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery objectives.

Governance & Process Excellence

• Maintain Agile delivery artifacts including sprint metrics, RAID logs, project documentation, and dashboards.
• Support governance reporting and ensure adherence to Agile delivery standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and delivery effectiveness.
• Promote Agile best practices across teams and contribute to Agile maturity.

Team Collaboration

• Build and maintain high-performing, self-organizing Agile teams.
• Mentor team members on Agile practices and encourage knowledge sharing.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

AI & Innovation

• Support projects incorporating AI-enabled capabilities where applicable.
• Encourage the adoption of automation and AI tools to improve team productivity and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with technology teams to understand AI-related project requirements and dependencies.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 8–10 years of overall experience in IT project delivery, Agile project management, or software development.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams.
• Experience delivering projects within Banking, Financial Services, Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory Reporting domains is preferred.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional Agile teams and coordinating with business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments is desirable.
• Exposure to AI-enabled initiatives or digital transformation programs is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project (preferred).
• Experience in Agile reporting, sprint metrics, and delivery dashboards.
• Familiarity with Risk and Regulatory Reporting solutions is desirable.

Preferred Certifications
