- Be proactive in identifying areas of key regulatory and compliance risk and work with business units to identify and remediate gaps.
- Provide oversight of how regulatory change management has been effectively imbedded, and report on whether this is operating as intended.
- Develop strong relationships within SNZ entities to the point that your advice and input becomes essential when considering business issues, opportunities, initiatives and changes.
What you’ll bring:
- 7+ years of relevant assurance, compliance, audit, regulatory affairs and/or legal experience preferred
- Background in the financial services/insurance industry, or from a professional consultancy firm
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and explain compliance obligations in business relevant language
- Broad commercial experience at senior levels in either a corporate and/or professional services environment
- Curiosity and the ability to bring innovative thinking to everyday problems
Why join Suncorp?
- A supportive, inclusive environment where people back each other
- Strong focus on learning, development, and continuous improvement
