Roles and Responsibilities

  • Report to Contract Managers and supervise operations on medium and large projects, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage project programming, building progress, commissioning, weekly reporting, site meetings, and successful project closeout to profit targets.
  • Supervise site personnel, coordinate subcontractors, trades, labour, materials, plant movement, and site installations.
  • Carry out installation works, surveys, design reviews, and ensure installations are fit for purpose and completed in line with contracts and specifications.
  • Coordinate procurement, delivery, quality checking, records, and availability of plant and materials, ensuring labour and materials are planned at least two weeks in advance.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, trades, and internal teams including Quality and Health & Safety.
  • Implement and monitor Designer Group Health & Safety and Quality procedures, including toolbox talks, safety inductions, method statements, documentation, and reporting.
  • Mentor apprentices, complete staff assessments, maintain timesheets, and ensure accurate site records and documentation.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to support effective project delivery.
  • Must have combined M&E large scale project experience with experience in Data Centre Projects.
  • Have a knowledgeable understanding of electrical controls systems
  • Demonstrate track record of “on the job effectiveness” of large scale projects.
  • Must be flexible to work outside normal hours if required.
  • Be able to work on own initiative.
  • Must have excellent people management skills.
  • Ability to multi task is a key requirement.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Correct understanding and interpretation of CAD drawings
  • Knowledge of BIM & Navisworks is an advantage.
