About the team 🙌

SumUp's Sales team in Germany is on a roll — and we need a Key Account Executive in Berlin who's built different. This role is for someone who thrives in the hunt: picking up the phone, opening doors, and creating pipeline out of nothing. Once you've won the merchant, you'll own the relationship too — growing the account and making sure they're getting the most out of SumUp. The AM side? You'll pick it up. The hunter mindset? What you'll do

• 🤝 Own and grow a portfolio of SMB accounts — be their go-to person and make sure they're getting the most out of SumUp

• 💡 Spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities and act on them — match merchants with the right products at the right time

• 🎯 Go after new business through outbound calls, emails, and local networking — you're not waiting for leads to come to you

• 🗣️ Lead consultative conversations that put the merchant's needs first before pitching anything

• 📊 Own your full sales cycle from first touch to close, with clean CRM records throughout

• 🏆 Hit monthly targets across both new business and account growth — consistently

• 🤜 Work closely with onboarding, customer success, and product teams to make sure merchants succeed long-term

You'll be great for this role if…

• You've got experience in account management, sales, or a customer-facing B2B role — SMB experience is a big plus

• You're just as comfortable hunting for new business as you are nurturing existing accounts — you see both as wins

• You read the room and adapt your communication style whether you're winning over a new prospect or deepening a long-term relationship

• You manage a diverse portfolio without losing sight of priorities or targets

• You own your numbers and know how to plan your time to hit them

• You speak German fluently and have a working level of English for internal comms
