More information on the project can be found in the link below; Integrated Data Infrastructure | Stats NZ We have a newly created fixed term opportunity for an experienced Engagement Manager to assist in driving forward the engagement delivery of our innovative IDI programme of work. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in identifying emerging opportunities, strengthening strategic partnerships and creating an engagement strategy to align with our providers and channels, ensuring a robust and fit for purpose strategy is communicated both ways. Of critical importance will be enhancing the capability and monitoring the outcomes of how this strategy works with our partners, vendors and government agencies, while leveraging these relationships to ensure that we operate and function in a way that is consistent with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The role requires a confident, collaborative and value-based practitioner who can influence across a complex environment and strengthen best practice to build knowledge and capability across the IDI and the wider team. The scope of this role includes: * Lead strategic planning, engagement and partnership initiatives aligned with organisational and project priorities. * Develop and deliver a targeted engagement approach to build and support the IDI which both drives and supports successful transition and implementation through key milestones. * Manage expectation and communicate accordingly as we transition through phases. * Build and maintain productive, sustainable relationships with Government agencies, vendors and other key stakeholders. * Lead stakeholder engagement planning, governance and communication approaches to ensure a coordinated and consistent messaging and strategy proposition. * Communicate engagement activities to drive change adoption and capture lessons learned to share. * Provide input into complex stakeholder issues and escalations, ensuring positive resolution and long-term sustainable relationships. * Champion and advocate for the decisions of our leadership team to be applied across teams as we integrate technology, people and processes. * Ensure engagement strategy aligns with Stats NZ Strategic Engagement Model, confidentiality, privacy, and data governance requirements. What you bring | Nōu te rourou    To be successful in the role you must bring extensive experience in working with government agencies, Iwi/Māori, NGOs and /or have extensive with exposure in working in complex environment undergoing transformation. You must be able to influence at a senior level, being instrumental in building relationships within a partnership-based model and being able to understand, simplify and communicate complex information. What you will bring to the role: * A track record in connecting service delivery, consultation, planning, organisational reporting and risk management. * Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, programs of work within governance, performance and planning frameworks. * Proven experience building credible and trusted relationships, fostering collaboration, alignment and informed decision making. * Experienced in providing strategic advice and insights to senior leadership/ board to help prioritise, identify emerging trends, risk and opportunities. * Have exemplary written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at both a technical and non-technical level and handle ambiguity with ease. * Proven ability to transition organisations and people to a new way of working and introducing new systems and processes. * Strong understanding of machinery of government processes, systems and governance with the ability to challenge, influence and negotiate at a senior level. * Demonstrated experience in analysing a complex range of information, and critical thinking to drive short term improvements and long-term objectives. * Strong analytical, reporting and learning capability creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
