
Lead - Data Platform Engineering
We are looking for highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Platform solutions. The role will focus on Customer 360, data quality, identity resolution, governance, and cloud-native MDM initiatives across enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in MDM architecture, cloud technologies, data engineering, and enterprise data governance with hands-on technical leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide MDM and Customer 360 solutions using cloud-native MDM platforms.
- Lead technical architecture discussions and drive high-quality engineering delivery.
- Develop scalable data models, match & merge strategies, survivorship rules, hierarchies, and workflow configurations within MDM platforms.
- Build and optimize data pipelines, integrations, mappings, and workflows across CRM, billing, analytics, and downstream systems.
- Drive data quality initiatives including profiling, cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and duplicate resolution.
- Design and develop identity resolution frameworks using enterprise-grade matching algorithms and governance processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, vendors, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support Customer 360 and AI-ready data foundations leveraging FERN matching, entity resolution, and governance frameworks.
- Develop and support production jobs, operational monitoring, deployment activities, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Plan infrastructure scalability, reliability, and operational readiness for enterprise data platforms.
- Create data quality rules, workflows, dashboards, and stewardship processes.
- Contribute to release planning, estimations, production support, and continuous platform improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and technical excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, MDM, or Enterprise Data Platform development.
- Strong expertise in Master Data Management concepts including:
- Customer 360
- Match & Merge
- Survivorship
- Identity Resolution
- Hierarchy Management
- Data Governance
- Hands-on experience with one or more MDM platforms such as:
- Reltio
- Informatica MDM
- Other enterprise MDM platforms
- Strong experience in data quality management, profiling, cleansing, standardization, and duplicate detection.
- Expertise in SQL and enterprise data platforms such as:
- Databricks
- Other modern data warehouses
- Strong experience with cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integrations.
- Hands-on experience in Python, Java, or Scala is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting production systems, deployments, monitoring, and operational support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-driven MDM, FERN matching, or Customer 360 initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise-scale SaaS or subscription-based platforms.
- Exposure to modern data architecture, Lakehouse platforms, and streaming technologies.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models.
- Understanding of data governance, stewardship, and operational monitoring frameworks.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Agentic AI and AI-powered customer intelligence platforms.
- Experience with metadata management and enterprise data governance tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture review and governance processes.
