Video Content Producer (Contractor)
Office location: Cambridge, UK – This role is hybrid, with attendance at our Cambridge office required for shoots, live productions and key milestones.
Are you a versatile Video Content Producer who loves taking creative ideas from concept through to shoot, edit and final delivery?
As a Video Content Producer within Jagex’s Creative Services team, you’ll help create engaging video content for some of our biggest games, campaigns and live events. Working across RuneScape, Old School RuneScape and the wider Jagex portfolio, you’ll combine creative thinking with hands-on production skills to deliver high-quality content across gameplay, cinematic, live action and motion graphics.
This is a hands-on contractor role where you'll manage productions from end to end, collaborating with teams across CGI, Audio, Art, Design and Marketing as well as external freelancers and agencies. From developing concepts and shooting content to editing campaign assets and supporting major moments like RuneFest, you'll have the creative autonomy to bring ideas to life for audiences across multiple platforms.
This is a contractor role, anticipated to last 3-4 months.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage video projects end to end, taking productions from initial concept and pre-production through to shooting, editing and final delivery.
- Develop and pitch imaginative video concepts designed to engage existing players and reach new audiences.
- Write and produce video content across gameplay, cinematic and live-action formats.
- Create comprehensive pre-production documentation to ensure shoots and productions run smoothly.
- Act as cinematographer on shoots and capture high-quality in-game footage across titles including RuneScape and Old School RuneScape.
- Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and create motion graphics in After Effects for stakeholders across the business.
- Produce marketing content for major events such as RuneFest, including sponsorship, keynote and Golden Gnome Awards assets.
- Support live-stream productions and workflows, including content produced from the Jagex broadcast studio.
- Work closely with Creative Services and wider teams to plan, schedule and deliver projects against agreed briefs, deadlines and review gates.
- Bring current video, social and creative trends into your work, ensuring our content remains engaging, relevant and high quality.
- Collaborate with freelancers, agencies and internal creative teams where required to deliver ambitious content at scale.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrable experience as a Video Producer, independently managing projects from concept through to final delivery.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Proven experience shooting and editing high-quality video alongside creating engaging motion graphics.
- A well-rounded creative skillset, combining strong ideas and storytelling instincts with the ability to execute them.
- Confidence working autonomously from a brief and taking ownership of your workload, deadlines and review milestones.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across multiple creative and non-creative disciplines.
- Ability to work in a hybrid pattern, including travelling to our Cambridge HQ when required for shoots, live productions and key milestones.
Bonus skills:
- Proficiency across the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of RuneScape and Old School RuneScape, alongside a wider passion for games.
- Experience producing or supporting live-stream content and broadcast workflows.
- Experience capturing and editing in-game footage.
