Founding Product Success Manager, Head of CS Track
About BoWatt
BoWatt is building agentic requirements and systems engineering software for manufacturing. We believe AI will reach PhD-level engineering capability within the next 10 years. This will unlock massive value across complex manufacturing industries. Cars. Planes. Rockets. Factories. Chips. Medical devices. All will be engineered with agents.
We bootstrapped BoWatt to €500k+ ARR before raising our first round. BoWatt is backed by tier-1 investors, including Atlantic Foodlabs, Buildery (CDTM affiliates), and Prequel Ventures, along with angels from Cohere and Luminovo.
You’ll join a small team of startup builders focused on speed, ownership, and execution. Over half the team are former founders, with backgrounds across DeepTech AI, gaming, and other startups. We’ve studied and worked at institutions and companies including Stanford, TUM, Google, EA, and YC-backed AI startups.
The role
As our Founding Product Success Manager, you will sit between our customers and product team. You will own customer success after the initial sale while also playing a hands-on role in shaping and improving the product.
This is not a traditional Customer Success role. You will work directly with customers, understand their problems in depth, and work with our engineers to turn those problems into product improvements.
Own the customer relationship after the initial sale, from onboarding through successful adoption and long-term partnership
Build strong relationships with users, champions, and senior stakeholders at large Mittelstand companies and Tier-1 enterprises in the DACH region and beyond
Spend significant time with customers to understand their workflows, problems, and product needs
Drive product adoption across customer teams and help users integrate BoWatt into their day-to-day engineering processes
Ensure customers get measurable value from BoWatt by regularly reviewing progress, identifying blockers, and developing practical solutions
Run operative product management for customer-driven improvements: understand problems, define requirements, create and prioritize tickets, and work closely with engineering through implementation
Test new features with customers, collect feedback, and iterate together with the product and engineering teams
Own customer-facing software incidents and bugs end-to-end, from initial investigation and reproduction through prioritization and resolution with engineering
Identify opportunities to expand BoWatt within existing customers across additional teams, use cases, and business units
Bring structured customer feedback into the product team and help shape our product roadmap
Build and improve our processes for onboarding, adoption, customer feedback, product discovery, and customer success
Develop deep expertise in BoWatt's software, customers, and target industries
During your first 6 months, you will work closely with our CPO and product team to develop the product, industry, and customer knowledge needed to gradually take ownership of increasingly complex customers and product initiatives.
You
You genuinely enjoy working with customers and building strong, long-term relationships
You enjoy getting into the details of customer problems and figuring out how the product can solve them
You write clearly, communicate confidently, and know how to get to the point with both technical users and senior stakeholders
You are highly structured and take ownership of driving projects and customer initiatives to completion
You can understand complex customer challenges and turn them into clear, practical solutions and product requirements
You are proactive: you identify risks and opportunities early rather than waiting for customers to raise them
You are comfortable working with technical B2B products and are curious about how engineering and manufacturing teams operate
You are comfortable working closely with software engineers and discussing bugs, features, priorities, and trade-offs
You want to grow into a domain expert across our software, customers, and industry
You are ambitious, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile to make customers successful
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in Customer Success, Product Management, Account Management, Implementation, Solutions Consulting, or a similar customer-facing B2B software role
Alternatively, experience in a technical customer-facing role at an industrial manufacturer, engineering company, or technology business
Experience onboarding customers, managing ongoing customer relationships, and driving product adoption
Experience translating customer problems and feedback into clear product requirements is a strong advantage
Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and initiatives in parallel
Comfortable working with CRM, product management, and customer success tools
Ability to understand technical products and communicate effectively with both technical users and business stakeholders
Fluent German required; English is our internal working language
Manufacturing, engineering, product management, and/or startup experience is a bonus
What we offer
Competitive salary based on experience
25 vacation days per year, plus public holidays
