About the role
We are looking for an inspiring Store Design Project Manager who will be managing key store design projects in Europe – North & South. This involves managing projects from initial creative concept to store opening. This will predominantly be for Self-Select store execution across Europe. This role includes fostering exceptional Charlotte Tilbury customer experience within cost, schedule and operational requirements.
You will be leading SD projects in Europe - taking all projects from concept through to reality, dealing with suppliers/contractors & reporting in to EMEA HO SD, therefore effective communication is key. You will have a detailed mind, from CPA’s, budgets to contracts, you will need an eye for detail! Ultimately, you enjoy working in high octane environment as well as recognise that the fast-paced nature of the work; means that accuracy & time management is key!
Please note, this role is based in our London Head offices. We work a hybrid model, with 2-3 days in the office and the rest of the week can be WFH.
As our Store Design Project Manager you will
- Ensure design standards and concepts are maintained in all architectural details.
- Manage, assist, and develop Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Inc. consultants, including ME engineers, external PMs, and architects.
- Understand and interpret DDA and building codes & ensure apply for relevant building applications where applicable eg. Advert consent.
- Perform material and detail research with suppliers and consultants for architectural store design elements with consideration to construction standards, maintenance, operations, and procurement needs.
- Organise, update, and archive all project documentation and assist in development and updates to design standards guidelines.
- Ensure that the execution of assigned projects is in alignment with Brand strategy, project schedules and project budgets; Communicate effectively via verbal and drawing skills.
- Work closely with the design team to review and obtain approval of manufacture drawings for design integrity and safety standards for assigned projects.
- Provide and manage CPA for all store design project and present updates to the business. Manage the whole process from design to execution!
- Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects.
- Attend installation of new concessions and stores monitoring standards and snagging issues.
Who you will work with
- You will report directly into our Head of Store Design, EU.
- You will work closely alongside the wider Store Design & VM team within the EU function, as well as our Global team and cross functionally with the wider EU Function.
About you
- You are an experienced project manager within the Retail space. You have extensive knowledge of accessibility and building codes; alongside a good understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural concepts.
- You have experience in managing the approval process for retail stores in all types of environments (new stores, existing stores, historic street-facing buildings, etc.)
- You have decisive problem-solving skills with regards to construction materials and methods; with exceptional eye for detail and great vision on how to use spaces and commercial opportunities.
- Supreme organisational skills – you will be running multiple jobs, managing multiple suppliers/contractors keeping everything on track, while also keeping your manager informed of current project statuses.
- You are a self-starter, ability to work independently and with team. Ability to work collaboratively and drive team success; you are skilled in the visual, written and verbal communication of design issues.
- Expert in Vectorworks, AutoCAD and basic Photoshop, Indesign, Microsoft (excel, power point, word etc)
- An excellent communicator, you are a strong collaborator, can build strong relationships effectively across all levels, with the ability to influence and effectively articulate your point of view.
- You work well under pressure, you can ruthlessly prioritise and know how to influence up and work in an agile environment with ease.
- Have a flexible and professional attitude, you are hungry to learn and welcome challenge!
- Have exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, with great attention to detail and is results-driven.
