At IndieBI we are building business intelligence tools to help developers and publishers of PC and Console games manage their commercial operations more efficiently. Additionally, we are building the dedicated account management team that provides exclusive high-profile service, tailored to the different needs of video game developers and publishers. You'll join the team that collects pricing and promotional-discount data for video games across every major digital storefront and integrates with each platform to set and reconcile discounts. Much of the work is building the FastAPI services and data jobs behind these integrations. It's a backend Python role with a real DevOps/infrastructure component. We're looking for you if check these boxes: Strong Python - modern, type-hinted code; Pydantic v2; async/await; you're comfortable with SQLAlchemy and relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, or other sql database); FastAPI or an equivalent modern Python web framework in production; Solid DevOps fundamentals - you can operate confidently with Docker, a CI/CD pipeline, and Kubernetes, and you're not thrown by cloud infrastructure; Kubernetes knowledge - you understand how pods, replicas, deployments, services and kubectl work and the role each one plays, and you can operate confidently in a running cluster; Working Azure knowledge - identity/service principals, secrets, storage, or messaging (Service Bus); Git-based workflow discipline - small reviewed MRs, linters and type-checks as gates, tests you can trust (uv, ruff, mypy, pytest - or the equivalent); Observability - Elastic/Kibana, Sentry, APM or other similar tools; comfortable debugging from logs and traces; Fluent English (written and spoken); Open, documented collaboration is part of how we work. GitLab MRs, ADRs and Jira are our shared record of decisions and progress, so clear written communication matters. This will make you stand out: Terraform/Infrastructure-as-Code (Terragrunt a plus) - reading and safely modifying modules; Networking/security exposure (FortiGate, VPN, DNS); Knowledge of architecture patters, like leader election, publisher-subscriber, Cricut Breaker; Data-pipeline orchestration; Web scraping at scale - Playwright/headless browsers, proxies, anti-bot realities; Frontend: Vue 3 + TypeScript. There's some frontend work but it's optional for this role - a bonus, not a gate. We appreciate that it's impossible to be a specialist in everything! We do, however, expect that by relying on your skills and experience, you'll be able to fearlessly navigate through your daily tasks, assessing which problems you can tackle on your own and which require the help of your colleagues. We hope that you won't be afraid to take up challenges but also won't hesitate to ask questions! We will want you to: Build and maintain typed, async FastAPI services backed by PostgreSQL and MSSQL (SQLAlchemy 2.x + Alembic); Extend storefront integrations and diagnose them when a platform changes its API or auth flow; Write scheduled data jobs (Airflow / containerized jobs) that scrape, backfill and reconcile discount and pricing data; Ship your own work: Code → GitLab CI → Kubernetes (AKS), watch it in Elastic/Kibana + Sentry, and fix it in prod; Work with Azure day to day - service principals/Entra auth, Key Vault secrets, Blob storage, etc; Make small, safe changes to Terraform infrastructure and shared platform libraries; Resolve production issues; Work with internal teams on features for internal tools; You'll have plenty of room to grow here. We give people a lot of autonomy, ownership, and opportunities to shape what they do. That also means we're looking for people who are curious, proactive, and eager to learn and test new things. In return we're offering: Full time job from any place in the world with whatever type of contract suits you best (but it's a major plus if your time zone is not too far from Europe); Competitive salary adjusted according to your experience and location (2000-26000 PLN net + VAT on a B2B contract for people based in Poland); A meaningful stock option plan to reflect your responsibilities and substantial contribution to the project; Paid holidays, sick leave, 26 days of vacations, no matter the type of contract; A nice assortment of useful benefits - reimbursements for home office workstations and peripherals, training budgets, private healthcare subsidies, monthly hackdays to flex a different set of creative muscles; Remote-first work environment - we have a headquarters in Poland but do live our work lives online, including in-house workshops and trainings, teambuilding, and board games; A team of creative friends from the cross section of video games, startup development, and data analytics; An exciting startup project in one of the most vibrant industries in the world, in direct contact with people making amazing games; A cozy head office in Łódź with tons of fruits, chocolate, coffee and board games. We hire people, not resources. We have flexible working hours so you can balance your lifestyle requirements with your work responsibilities. We're trusting you with your own time management, relying on your work being fun and exciting to keep you motivated, and expecting your experience and professionalism to define your relationship with our clients and the rest of the team. We especially encourage marginalized groups and people from underserved backgrounds, genders, and locations to apply. Recruitment process Click the button below, fill out the form and apply! You'll get an email from us to let you know if you've made it to stage 2. Stage 2 is an interview with Ada or Karolina from our People & Culture team and Ania (Deliver Manager in this team) - just a mutual vibe check and an opportunity to start getting comfortable with each other. Stage 4 is a bigger and more official (but still friendly) chat with representatives of our Pricing and Discounting Team. This part will go a bit more in-depth into your experience and technical skills. Within usually a few days you'll get a proper job offer to consider or a little feedback to help you grow and try again in the future.
