
Senior Project Manager
Location: Remote within Canada
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex customer and internal projects from initiation through successful completion.
This role is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will work with stakeholders across Professional Services, Product, Development, Customer Success, Support, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead multiple concurrent projects from project initiation through completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Establish project governance and project reporting frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with customers, executives, and internal teams.
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings, stakeholder updates, steering committees, and status reviews.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
Resource & Financial Management
- Coordinate project resources across multiple teams.
- Monitor project budgets, forecast resource requirements, and track project financial performance.
- Ensure effective utilization of internal resources and external vendors when applicable.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, templates, and best practices.
- Promote consistent project delivery standards across the organization.
- Drive operational efficiencies and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Development, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Facilitate issue resolution and decision-making across functional groups.
- Support strategic initiatives and organizational change management efforts.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare executive-level project status reports and dashboards.
- Communicate project performance, risks, resource constraints, and recommendations to leadership.
- Escalate critical issues as appropriate and drive resolution.
Required
- 7+ years of project management experience in SaaS, software, technology, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale or complex customer-facing projects.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
Preferred
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certification.
- Experience leading SaaS software implementations.
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience with change management initiatives.
- Experience working in high-growth technology organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or related field.
