Responsibilities
- Partner with the Tax team stakeholders to design and implement features of our financial systems that include Oracle Cloud Applications (Financials, TRCS, Fusion Tax), Stripe homegrown Tax Solutions and many other tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate Tax processes, work on transformation initiatives, implement SOX controls and maintain our financial Applications.
- Lead Finance systems (primarily Tax area including but not limited to Direct and Indirect Taxes) projects and strategic initiatives - including implementation of new tools and business process changes - from requirements, tool selection, system design, implementation, UAT, training, go-live & post go-live support.
- Serve as a technology liaison with Tax stakeholders to understand their pain points, opportunities for process improvements, automation & efficiency gains, create strategic roadmap and provide them with technology solutions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex sales tax, transfer pricing and Tax provisioning concepts and effectively apply knowledge to develop and maintain tax systems and data flows.
- Design solutions and make architecture decisions by benchmarking with industry best practices to help us scale for the future.
- Partner with Engineering product teams to develop & deliver technical solutions to optimize financial workflow and integration with other Stripe internal systems.
- Implement and maintain the Fusion Tax and Integrate with homegrown Tax system for Indirect Tax determination.
- Own the Tax Applications Configure & Maintain Systems Data protection & integrity Tax Compliance & SOX controls.
Who you are
Minimum requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance or a related field, plus 8 years of experience in Building and maintaining tax systems, of which, at least 5 years must be post-bachelors progressive experience.
Must also have 8 years of experience in each of the following:
- Building and implementing finance and compliance products at global scale.
- Tax systems including Sabrix, Vertex, Oracle EBTax and Fusion Cloud Tax.
- Program or project management.
- Designing Internal Financial systems for Indirect or Direct Tax needs.
- Reporting development using SQL, PL/SQL, or BI Publisher.
- Taxation methods including VAT, Sales Tax, or GST, and related global compliance and reporting needs.
Salary: $274,456.00 - $334,600.00/yr.
This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.
40 hrs/week
50% Telecommuting permitted.
