HR Assistant

DOF Canada is currently seeking an HR Assistant (Fixed-Term) to join our Human Resources team for a period of 6 months. If you are looking for a dynamic environment to learn and grow your career, DOF Canada is a great opportunity!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process such as scheduling interviews, reference checks etc.;
- Facilitate the onboarding sessions for new employees;
- Responsible for maintaining electronic personnel files;
- Support employee communications;
- Assist with the work permit process for employees travelling internationally;
- Other HR Assistant duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management (or equivalent experience);
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in the Human Resources field;
- Strategic thinker but not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get work done;
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced and constantly changing organization with strict deadlines;
- Knowledge of offshore operations would be preferred, but not critical for the position;
- Exceptional team member and lead by example with a focus on developing others and yourself;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times;
- Organization and time management skills are essential;
- Advanced ability with Microsoft Office products.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. DOF maintains the right to request a criminal background check as a part of the recruitment process.
