Responsible Individual & Ofsted Consultancy Lead

Location: Flexible / Home Based with National Travel
Contract: Full Time

About the Role

Delphi Care Solutions is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual to lead and develop our growing RI consultancy service.

This is a senior role combining statutory Responsible Individual responsibilities with consultancy, quality assurance, client relationship management, and service development.

The successful candidate will act as the named Responsible Individual for an agreed portfolio of Ofsted-registered children's homes, providing effective oversight, governance, support, and challenge to providers and Registered Managers. Alongside this, they will help grow and shape Delphi's RI service, building strong client relationships and supporting the development of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the named Responsible Individual for an allocated portfolio of children's homes.
  • Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Provide oversight, support, and challenge to Registered Managers.
  • Monitor safeguarding, quality, compliance, and service performance.
  • Review incidents, complaints, Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 reports, and improvement plans.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Ofsted and other key stakeholders.
  • Support homes through inspections, regulatory activity, and improvement programmes.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of Delphi's Responsible Individual consultancy service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and sector partners.
  • Support consultancy activity, new service development, and business growth opportunities.

About You

You will have:

Essential

  • Previous experience acting as a Responsible Individual.
  • Significant leadership experience within children's residential care.
  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Operations Manager, Head of Service, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspection frameworks, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience in quality assurance, service improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Multi-site management experience.
  • Experience opening and registering children's homes.
  • Consultancy or business development experience.
