Supply Chain Manager
Location: Ireland or Europe | Travel Required
The Role
Crown is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of the development, management and performance of our labour-only subcontractor supply chain.
This role will play a key part in ensuring Crown has access to a reliable, capable and high-quality network of subcontractors to support our projects across Ireland and Europe.
We are open to candidates based in Ireland or elsewhere across Europe, with the flexibility and willingness to travel as and when required to meet business needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential subcontractors, building strong relationships with existing supply chain partners and ensuring all subcontractors meet Crown's requirements in relation to capability, quality, capacity and compliance.
A key part of the role will involve visiting potential subcontractors and inspecting projects they are currently delivering or have previously completed. This will allow you to assess the standard of their work, the capability of their teams and whether they have the experience and resources required to successfully support Crown's projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and strengthen Crown's network of labour-only subcontractors.
- Identify and engage potential new subcontractors across relevant trades and locations.
- Visit subcontractors and inspect current and completed projects to assess their workmanship, capability, capacity and suitability.
- Carry out due diligence and capability assessments before onboarding new subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors across Ireland and Europe.
- Work closely with Project Directors, Project Managers and site teams to understand current and future labour requirements.
- Ensure the supply chain has sufficient capacity to support Crown's upcoming and ongoing projects.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, including quality, reliability, productivity and overall delivery.
- Support the onboarding and compliance process for new subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records relating to subcontractor capability, availability and performance.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and work proactively to address them.
- Support the continuous improvement and development of Crown's subcontractor supply chain.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong experience in construction, subcontractor management, procurement or supply chain, ideally within the roofing, cladding, façades or wider building envelope sector.
You will have a good understanding of what makes a capable subcontractor and be confident assessing teams and projects firsthand. You should be commercially aware, organised and able to build strong relationships with people at all levels.
A third-level qualification in Construction, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline would be desirable but is not essential. We are equally interested in candidates who have gained strong, relevant experience within the construction industry.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in supply chain management, subcontractor management, procurement or a similar construction-related role.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and subcontractor market.
- Experience assessing subcontractor capability and suitability.
- Confidence visiting sites and evaluating the quality and standard of ongoing or completed work.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a busy and fast-paced environment.
- Based in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe, with the willingness and flexibility to travel as required to meet business needs.
Why Join Crown?

- Training & Development Opportunities
