Desktop Adjuster - Natural Hazards | Christchurch - 6-month Contract

We are currently looking for a Desktop Adjuster to join our Christchurch team supporting Natural Hazards claims. This is an exciting and rewarding position, where you will manage claims from initial assessment through to settlement, working closely with customers, insurers, suppliers and other stakeholders to deliver fair and timely outcomes.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Liaising with customers who have suffered a loss and need support through the claims process
• Reviewing claim documentation and assessing claim information
• Managing and progressing a portfolio of natural hazards claims
• Communicating with insurer, broker and supplier partners
• Delivering excellent customer service and regular claim updates
• Maintaining accurate claim records and reporting

Desired skills and qualities for this role include:

• Insurance industry experience or experience in a similar role
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for helping people
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good computer and administrative skills
• A flexible approach to supporting customer and business needs

This role would suit those with experience in:

• Insurance claims handling or loss adjusting
• Property claims.
• Natural hazards or catastrophe claims
• Customer service, case management or claims administration
• Coordinating multiple stakeholders and delivering customer-focused outcomes
