Technical Content & SEO Executive

RVT Group is looking for an enthusiastic B2B technical content writer who has the ability to quickly understand our offering and translate it into both search-engine-optimised and reader-friendly content. The successful candidate will also oversee the work of external agencies and provide monthly reports.

Please be aware that this role is full-time and based entirely on-site at our Dartford office. We are not offering hybrid or remote working arrangements for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Copywriting

  • SEO Copywriting: Work closely with our SEO agency to identify content gaps and write copy that is E-E-A-T and keyword-focused, with the aim of increasing organic rankings. You will be responsible for uploading your own content to the CMS (WordPress) and completing all on-page SEO requirements.
  • Sales & Marketing Resources: Work with the sales team to write reader-friendly white papers, toolbox talks, flyers, brochures and video scripts that are informative yet easy to digest and aligned with the BU 90-day sprints. Ideally, you will have the creative ability to format content using Canva; however, this is not essential.

Agency Liaison

  • SEO/PPC Agency Liaison: Oversee our SEO/PPC agency, keeping them accountable for fixing technical issues, finding relevant search terms, improving on-page Rank Math, implementing internal and external backlinks, updating Google Business Profiles, reporting keyword rankings, reviewing Google Analytics, implementing any new requirements to satisfy algorithm changes, managing our Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts, and providing us with SEO/SEA recommendations.
  • PR Liaison: Work closely with our PR agency to keep them on track with the agreed content plan, provide any information they need, and sign off new content.
  • Creative Agency Liaison: You may be required to work with videography agencies (or other creative agencies) to execute creative content such as videos.

Other

  • KPIs:  Key Performance Indicators are set quarterly using a system called BOB, and day-to-day activities are kept on track using Monday.com.
  • Reporting: You will work with the Marketing Manager to create a new monthly report that you will own going forward.
  • Continuous Improvement: You will be encouraged to provide recommendations for future technical content strategies and digital tools.
  • Teamwork: We work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, so you may be asked to help with projects that fall outside of your usual remit.
  • Communication: Liaise with your teammates to ensure all content channels are aligned and that communications have a consistent brand tone and a positive, professional image.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and in-depth SEO understanding.
  • Attention to detail, strong communication skills, adaptability, flexibility and a team-player mindset.
  • Experience of working with/managing agencies.
  • Ability to work with platforms such as Canva, Monday.com, WordPress, HubSpot, Semrush, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and ChatGPT.
  • Relevant experience and examples of written work are imperative.
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
