About AI Acquisition

AI Acquisition is a bootstrapped, founder-led business helping founders and operators scale with AI, combining a sales and delivery engine, one-to-one consultation, and our own SaaS platforms. We move fast, we build constantly, and we hold a high bar for the people who work directly with our clients.

We currently manage thousands of active clients across multiple products, with 250+ new clients onboarding every month. The Account Management function is the front line of that relationship.

The Role

You are the person between the client and the outcome. Not a relationship manager. Not a check-in scheduler. Not someone who forwards tickets and hopes for the best.

You own a portfolio of clients who are building real businesses with our support. Some are launching for the first time. Some are scaling. Some are stuck and frustrated. Your job is to diagnose where they actually are, figure out what's blocking their progress, manage their expectations when needed, and drive them toward commercial results, not just activity.

This means you need to understand marketing, sales, offer development, and fulfillment well enough to have real conversations about all of them. If a client's campaign is generating calls but nobody's closing, you need to be able to tell them why and what to do about it, not pass it to someone else.

Our clients purchase a fully built AI lead-generation business: brand, website, funnel, lead engine, and the systems that help turn leads into customers. You own the relationship around that delivery. You need to know what they bought, what was promised, where they are in the journey, and what needs to happen next, with specifics, not generalities.

You'll work directly with clients on Zoom, Slack, and through our internal systems. You'll run growth workshops, intro calls, and quick syncs. You'll manage escalations without panicking and celebrate wins without coasting. And when a client is about to walk, you'll be the person who finds the path to keep them or makes the honest call that they should go.

What You'll Own:

  • A portfolio of active clients across different stages: onboarding, growth, scale, and at-risk
  • Growth workshops, intro calls, and regular check-ins; you set the rhythm, not the client
  • Client expectation management, framing what's realistic, resetting when needed, never overpromising
  • Diagnosing why a client isn't getting results: is it the offer, the funnel, the sales process, the client's own execution, or something upstream?
  • Funnel and campaign literacy and understanding the client's lead engine (Meta ads, cold email, B2B book-a-call, DFY website), confirming it matches their contract and guarantee, and flagging mismatches before they become problems
  • Reading the client's specific contract, understanding the distinct payment flows (client pays AIA, client's customers pay client, ad spend reimbursement), and giving accurate answers under pressure rather than quoting generic numbers
  • Spotting the signals before a client escalates (sudden silence, short replies, frustration, refund language, contract/funnel mismatches) and acting on them with a structured escalation, not a panicked message
  • De-escalating frustrated clients without throwing the company under the bus, without panicking, and without making promises you can't keep
  • When you inherit accounts, you verify every client's status, contract, delivery stage, and risk level before assuming anything is fine
  • Spotting when a client is ready for more and positioning it as the natural next step, not a sales pitch
  • Every client interaction, decision, and next step logged in our systems (Athena ticketing, Slack channels)
  • Collaboration with the broader CS, delivery, and onboarding teams to make sure nothing falls through the cracks

What We Need From You

  • 4+ years in a client-facing account management, CSM, or business consulting role where you were directly responsible for client outcomes, not just client satisfaction scores
  • You've consulted business owners on how to start, grow, or scale a business, walked them through the hard parts, not just handed them a playbook
  • You understand (or can learn fast) the mechanics of B2B lead generation: Meta ads, cold email campaigns, funnels, and how they connect to a client's revenue. You don't need to run campaigns yourself, but you need to diagnose why one isn't converting and have a real conversation about it with the client
  • You're comfortable navigating money conversations with clients, not quoting generic numbers, but reading the specific contract, understanding the payment flows, and giving accurate answers under pressure
  • You can manage difficult client conversations with composure, you stay calm, you don't blame, you find the path forward
  • You come with solutions, not just problems. When something breaks, your instinct is to propose a fix, not report the issue and wait
  • You're confident on camera and on calls; clients trust people who sound like they know what they're doing, even under pressure
  • You've worked in a startup, agency, or fast-moving environment where things change fast and you had to figure things out without a manual
  • You're comfortable with AI tools and either already use them in your workflow or are the kind of person who finds and tests them without being told to
  • You don't need to be chased. You manage your own time, your own portfolio, and your own follow-ups

This Is Not For You If:

  • You only know one side of the equation (only marketing, or only sales) and aren't interested in learning the other
  • You need everything documented before you can act; we're building the playbook, not following one
  • You wait for clients to come to you with problems instead of spotting them early
  • You avoid hard conversations or default to telling clients what they want to hear
  • You treat AI as a buzzword rather than something you actually use
  • You need heavy management and regular direction to stay productive
  • You hear "refund" and freeze instead of diagnosing what went wrong and whether it's fixable

What Success Looks Like:

  • Your clients are progressing; not just happy, but actually hitting milestones and getting results
  • Escalations that reach you don't reach anyone above you, you resolve them
  • You're the AM other people point to when asked "who handles clients well here"
  • You identify upsell opportunities because you actually understand where the client is and what they need next
  • Clients at risk are flagged before they ask for a refund, not after
  • You can audit a new book of business end to end and produce an accurate status picture within your first week of owning it
  • Your documentation is clean, current, and useful; anyone picking up your account can see exactly where things stand
  • You adopt new tools and processes fast and bring ideas for improving them

Our Process

After an initial screen, you'll complete a scenario-based Loom task, a real client situation that tests how you diagnose problems, manage expectations, and make commercial decisions. If you pass, you'll meet with our CS Leadership team for a deeper conversation.

We assess for judgment, not just experience. Show us how you think.

The Environment

This is a high-performance, remote-first team operating at the cutting edge of AI-powered business building. Here's what that means for you:

  • Direct access to founders from day one, no layers, no politics. You'll work alongside people who are building the business, not managing from a distance.
  • Real growth path, strong performers are promoted from month three, not year three. We move people up based on what they deliver, not how long they've been here.
  • Exposure to AI-led systems and tools, you won't just use AI as a buzzword on your CV. You'll operate inside a business that builds and ships AI products daily, and you'll be expected to use them to get better at your job.
  • Compensation that rewards output, base plus performance bonus plus upsell commission. The harder you push, the more you earn.
  • Autonomy and ownership, you manage your portfolio, your time, and your client relationships. No micromanagement, no hand-holding.
  • A team that holds a high bar, the people around you are operators, not passengers. That's the standard, and it's what makes this place worth being in.

If you're looking for structure handed to you, this isn't the right place. If you want to be the one "Lifting up the hood", build something real, and raise the bar every week with a team that moves fast - we want to talk.
