Ofsted Registration Consultant
Ofsted Registration Consultant
Nottingham | £60,000 | Hybrid Working
You've Registered Homes. Now Help Others Do It.
Most people who've been through an Ofsted registration once wouldn't choose to do it again.
You know what it's like.
The paperwork. The interviews. The endless follow-ups. The pressure of getting everything right.
But you also know the feeling when that registration comes through and a new service can finally open its doors.
That's where this role is different.
At Delphi Care Solutions, we help providers across the country navigate the Ofsted registration process and build services that give children the care and support they deserve.
As demand for our consultancy services continues to grow, we're looking for someone who can bring credibility, practical experience and strong relationship-building skills to our expanding Ofsted division.
This Isn't Just Another Compliance Role
You won't be sitting behind a desk ticking boxes.
You'll work directly with providers, Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals, helping them move from early planning through to successful registration.
You'll become the person clients pick up the phone to when they're unsure what to do next.
The person who keeps registrations moving.
The person who helps turn ideas into fully functioning services.
From brand-new children's homes and supported accommodation settings to established providers looking to grow, you'll play a key role in helping clients get things right from the very beginning.
The Role
You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, supporting them through every stage of the registration process.
One day you may be reviewing a Statement of Purpose.
The next, you could be preparing a Registered Manager for interview, helping a client deal with a regulatory challenge or supporting a provider who is opening their very first children's home.
No two days are ever quite the same.
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting Ofsted registrations from enquiry through to approval
- Reviewing applications, policies and registration documents
- Supporting Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals
- Preparing clients for Ofsted interviews
- Advising on safeguarding, staffing, leadership and governance
- Reviewing Statements of Purpose and Children's Guides
- Managing client onboarding and project planning
- Following up outstanding actions and maintaining momentum
- Responding to new enquiries and discussing consultancy packages
- Building strong relationships with clients and sector contacts
- Supporting business development and service growth
Who We're Looking For
You'll probably already have experience within children's services and understand what Ofsted expect from quality providers.
You may currently be working as:
- A Registered Manager
- A Responsible Individual
- An Ofsted Consultant
- A Compliance Manager
- An Operations Manager
- A Quality Assurance Lead
Most importantly, you'll be someone who can combine regulatory knowledge with practical advice and excellent communication skills.
You'll know how to explain complex requirements in a way that makes sense.
You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time.
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Experience within children's social care, residential childcare or supported accommodation
- Strong understanding of the Ofsted registration process
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting compliance and quality assurance
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Confidence working independently
Highly Desirable
- Previous Ofsted registration experience
- Responsible Individual experience
- Registered Manager experience
- Consultancy experience
- Experience reviewing registration documentation
- Business development or client-facing experience
- Safeguarding and safer recruitment knowledge
Why Join Delphi?
There are plenty of compliance jobs.
There are very few opportunities where you can help shape multiple services, influence quality from day one and build relationships with providers across the country.
You'll be joining a growing consultancy with ambitious plans, a strong reputation and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
Your experience will be valued.
Your opinion will matter.
And the work you do will have a direct impact on the quality of services being developed across the sector.
What's On Offer?
- £60,000 salary
- Hybrid working
- Varied and rewarding workload
- Genuine career progression opportunities
- Supportive leadership team
- Opportunity to work with providers nationwide
- Exposure to a wide range of children's services
- Chance to become a recognised specialist within the sector
Ready for Something Different?
If you've got experience in children's services, understand Ofsted registration and enjoy helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today or contact Delphi Care Solutions for a confidential conversation.
All applications will be handled in the strictest confidence.
