About the Role

We're looking for a Product Staff who can genuinely handle it all — someone equally comfortable digging into customer problems, writing a crisp spec, arguing scope with engineering, and checking whether a shipped feature actually moved the metric. You won't be handed a fully-formed roadmap; you'll help build it, based on what you learn from real users and real data.

This role suits someone early in their PM career who wants outsized ownership fast, is comfortable with ambiguity, and would rather learn by shipping than by sitting in process.

What You'll Do

Understand the problem

• Talk directly to users and customers to uncover real friction, not assumed pain points
• Dig into product analytics and support/sales feedback to separate signal from noise
• Translate messy, ambiguous asks into clearly scoped problems worth solving

Define and ship

• Write clear PRDs, user stories, and specs that engineering and design can build from without back-and-forth
• Prioritize ruthlessly — you'll rarely have enough engineering time for everything, so you decide what actually matters this sprint
• Work daily with engineering and design to unblock, review builds, and catch gaps before release
• Run structured QA/UAT on your own features before they reach customers

Own outcomes, not just output

• Define the metrics that matter for your area (adoption, activation, retention, time-to-value) and track them post-launch
• Close the loop — if something doesn't move the number, dig into why and adjust
• Communicate roadmap, trade-offs, and status clearly to stakeholders across the company, including leadership

Be a generalist

• Comfortable moving between strategy (what should we build) and execution (getting it built and out the door) in the same week
• Willing to pick up whatever the moment needs — a customer call, a rough SQL query, a competitor teardown, a one-pager for leadership

What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)

• 1–3 years of experience in product management, or in a closely adjacent role (business analysis, technical consulting, engineering, or startup generalist work) with clear ownership of outcomes
• Strong written communication — you can turn ambiguity into a spec someone else can build from
• Basic comfort with data: able to write simple SQL or confidently work in tools like Excel/Sheets, Mixpanel, or Amplitude to answer "is this working?"
• A bias toward action — you'd rather ship a v1 and learn than wait for a perfect brief
• High agency and low ego — you'll do the unglamorous work (support tickets, QA, competitor research) when it moves things forward
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Good to Have

• Prior experience at an early-stage startup or in a founder's-office-style role
• Exposure to tools like JIRA, Figma, Notion/Confluence, or a data warehouse
• Familiarity with AI-assisted build tools (Claude, Cursor, v0, Lovable) to prototype ideas quickly
• Domain exposure to [your industry, e.g., pharma/healthcare/fintech] — not required, we'll teach it
