Our continued success depends on having the right people, with the right skills, working on the right opportunities at the right time. We are looking for a Resource and Talent Manager to help us build, support and develop the talented teams who deliver our #TechForGood programmes.
This is a varied role combining resource planning, talent management, workforce planning and people-focused delivery. You will work closely with delivery leads, Squad leads, People Services and senior colleagues to understand our capability needs, identify opportunities for our people, and help ensure that our teams have a great career development experience, are well-supported and able to do their best work.
The ideal candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident working with people at all levels. You will be comfortable balancing immediate resourcing priorities with longer-term workforce planning and talent development.
As a Resource and Talent Manager, you will:
- Maintain a clear view of organisational capacity, skills, experience and availability across our delivery Squads and teams.
- Work with project and Squad leads to understand current and future resource requirements.
- Coordinate resource allocation across projects, taking account of skills, development goals, availability, client needs and commercial priorities.
- Support forward workforce planning, identifying capability gaps, recruitment requirements and opportunities for internal mobility.
- Develop constructive relationships with colleagues, understanding their aspirations and helping connect them with suitable project and development opportunities.
- Support recruitment planning by translating business requirements into clear role profiles and hiring priorities.
- Work with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to coordinate recruitment activity and maintain a strong candidate experience.
- Contribute to succession planning, career pathways and talent reviews.
- Provide accurate resource, recruitment and talent information to support management decision-making.
- Produce regular reports and insight on utilisation, availability, recruitment progress, skills coverage and emerging resourcing risks.
- Help improve resource management processes, tools and ways of working.
- Promote inclusive, transparent and well-informed decisions about project allocation, recruitment and development.
- Support the effective onboarding of new colleagues and their transition into Squads and delivery teams.
- Contribute to People Services and professional development initiatives, including InformedACADEMY™.
We are looking for someone with:
- 3–5 years’ experience in resource management, talent management, workforce planning, recruitment planning, professional services or a related people-focused role.
- Experience coordinating people, capacity or skills across multiple teams, projects or business areas.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively.
- Confidence building trusted relationships with colleagues, managers and senior stakeholders.
- The ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical resourcing or talent actions.
- Experience using spreadsheets, HR systems, resource management tools or similar data sources to produce meaningful insight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgement, discretion and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- A collaborative, pragmatic and service-oriented approach.
- A genuine interest in helping people develop and succeed.
- Experience within a digital consultancy, technology business, engineering organisation or project-based professional services environment would be particularly helpful, although it is not essential.
