The Role

As our Regulatory Response Manager, you’ll play an important role in supporting AP+ to maintain a strong compliance posture and successfully respond to key regulatory matters and commitments, including AP+’s voluntary adoption of the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI).

You’ll coordinate regulatory response activities from planning and evidence gathering through to review, self-assessment and submission, ensuring responses are accurate, timely and supported by robust governance.

Working across business owners who are designing and implementing, you’ll bring together stakeholders, provide specialist advice and insights to support high-quality, consistent and defensible regulatory outcomes.

This Role Is Responsible For:

  • Leading regulatory response activities, including planning, evidence gathering, review, self-assessment and submission coordination.
  • Providing risk and compliance advice to stakeholders on regulatory obligations and expectations, particularly when designing and implementing initiatives supporting regulatory commitments.
  • Maintaining strong records, controls and governance to support regulatory requests, responses and commitments.
  • Supporting the design, implementation and embedding of Group Risk activities associated with regulatory responses.
  • Working closely with the Regulatory Response Program Manager to identify, assess and mitigate delivery risks.
  • Analysing information, issues and trends to support accurate, consistent and defensible regulatory responses.
  • Designing and implementing reporting to track regulatory response progress, risks, issues and outcomes for Governance Forums.
  • Building effective relationships across internal teams and relevant external stakeholders.
  • Applying quality assurance practices to improve the consistency, quality and timeliness of regulatory responses.
  • Identifying process improvements that strengthen AP+’s regulatory response capability and readiness.
  • Coordinating effective records management across regulatory response artefacts, evidence, decisions and authorised information requests.
  • Staying across regulatory developments, industry trends and best practice to support continuous improvement.

In order to be successful in this role you’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting or managing regulatory responses, compliance matters or regulatory commitments, ideally within financial services, payments or another regulated environment.
  • Experience coordinating evidence and stakeholders across complex regulatory or compliance activities.
  • Strong quality assurance capability, with experience reviewing evidence and supporting accurate, consistent and timely regulatory responses.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory obligations, compliance practices, risk management, governance and response controls.
  • The ability to identify and assess risks, develop appropriate mitigation strategies and clearly communicate issues to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to bring together complex information and evidence to produce clear, defensible outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across multiple teams and levels of seniority.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing evidence, records, reporting and governance requirements.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in risk, compliance, governance or a related discipline. Relevant professional certification or membership is also desirable.
