Contract type:                    12 month Fixed Term Contract (Nov 2026 to Nov 2027)

Employment type:             Part time

Working hours:                  Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4:30pm

As an ACT, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every prescription is dispensed accurately, safely and on time. Working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, you’ll be responsible for checking dispensed items, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, and helping the team meet key service and performance targets.

You’ll work closely with pharmacy colleagues to spot opportunities for improvement, promote best practice and help keep dispensary operations running safely and efficiently.

What you’ll be doing?

·        Dispense all received prescriptions in line with daily operational requirements.

·        Support the clinical team with day-to-day dispensary activities.

·        Follow P2U dispensary operating procedures and maintain high standards of dispensing quality and accuracy.

·        Adhere to all legal, regulatory, ethical, professional, and company requirements.

·        Work effectively within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

·        Achieve individual and team performance targets to support business objectives.

·        Take ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy checks.

·        Ensure appropriate quality control measures are followed and communicate any issues or improvements to pharmacy colleagues.

·        Collaborate with teams across the business, including Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, and Pharmacists.

·        Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.

·        Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture.

·        Identify opportunities for process improvement and support operational efficiency.

Who are we looking for?

·        Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification, or Pharmacy Technician qualification with ACT accreditation.

·        Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

·        Previous experience working in a pharmacy environment, including community, online, or dispensing pharmacy settings.

·        Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a regulated environment.

·        Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

·        Confident using IT systems and able to quickly learn new technologies and processes.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate-level Excel skills.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals and service standards.

·        Demonstrates initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
