Governance and Compliance Administrator (Part-time)
Help shape governance, uphold standards and make a real difference
At CIMSPA, we're on a mission to support, develop and enable the professionals and organisations that power the UK's sport and physical activity sector. As the professional development body for the sector, we're creating a workforce that inspires more people to become active and live healthier lives.
We're looking for an organised, detail-focused and personable Governance & Compliance Administrator to join our Governance and Compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing order to complex processes, managing sensitive information with professionalism and supporting high standards of governance and accountability.
What you'll be doing
In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of our governance and compliance activity, supporting complaints management, governance processes and safeguarding responsibilities across the organisation.
You'll:
- Act as the first point of contact for complaints and concerns received by CIMSPA.
- Coordinate and administer complaints, disciplinary hearings and appeals.
- Support board, committee and panel meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
- Maintain accurate governance records, reports and documentation.
- Help monitor governance activities and support assurance reporting.
- Provide professional support and guidance to colleagues, members and stakeholders.
- Act as CIMSPA's Deputy Safeguarding Lead, supporting safeguarding administration and processes.
This role offers excellent variety and the opportunity to work with senior leaders, board members, committees and external stakeholders while contributing to the smooth and effective operation of a national professional body.
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who thrives on organisation, accuracy and collaboration. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities and handling sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience in administration within governance, complaints, regulatory, committee or professional environments.
- Excellent organisational and record-management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Experience coordinating meetings and preparing documentation.
- The ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Experience supporting boards, committees, complaints investigations, appeals processes or safeguarding activities would be advantageous.
Why join CIMSPA?
We believe people do their best work when they feel supported, trusted and valued. That's why we've built a culture where everyone has a voice and the opportunity to grow.
At CIMSPA, you'll join a passionate, inclusive and ambitious team dedicated to supporting the people who make sport and physical activity happen across the UK. If you're looking for a role where your organisational skills, professionalism and commitment to excellence can make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
