Why you'll love this role of Enterprise Data Architect

We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to play a pivotal role in one of the most significant transformation programmes within Civica.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of Civica's enterprise data architecture as we modernise our technology landscape and build the foundation for future growth, analytics, automation, and AI enablement. You'll help shape how data flows across the organisation, supporting major business transformation initiatives while establishing the standards, governance, and architectural principles that will underpin our future state.

Working closely with senior business leaders, technology teams, and strategic partners including Salesforce, NetSuite, Certinia and PwC, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions at the highest level while remaining hands-on in delivering practical outcomes. This role offers genuine ownership, visibility, and the ability to leave a lasting impact across a global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop Civica's enterprise data and integration architecture strategy
  • Document and define current-state and future-state data architecture across the organisation
  • Design scalable data models, integration patterns, and migration strategies that support business transformation
  • Provide architectural leadership across major programmes including ERP, professional services automation, integration, and data transformation initiatives
  • Provide expert advice and guidance data governance standards, quality controls, and master data management approaches
  • Support large-scale data migration activities
  • Define transition states from legacy to target architectures
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure architectural alignment and successful delivery
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for executive and non-technical audiences
  • Provide oversight and guidance on data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the subject matter authority for enterprise data architecture across central functions
  • Significant experience in Enterprise Data Architecture within complex organisations
  • Strong expertise in enterprise data modelling, integration architecture, and large-scale data migration programmes
  • Experience designing and delivering data architecture strategies that support business transformation
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
  • Experience working across multiple enterprise platforms and complex technology landscapes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience establishing data governance frameworks, standards, and controls
  • Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and best practice architecture principles
  • A track record of driving architectural change in fast-paced and evolving environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Certinia, or similar enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Exposure to private equity-backed or high-growth businesses
  • Experience supporting analytics, reporting, AI, or data platform initiatives
  • Experience creating enterprise-wide master data management approaches
  • Experience working with global teams and third-party implementation partners
