The Margin Team is a high-leverage product engineering team building sophisticated investing and trading experiences for our most active users. Driving 100s of millions in revenue, the team provides the critical tools customers need to successfully manage their investments. Our primary offering –margin– has scaled to over $15B in usage and remains one of the fastest-growing revenue streams at Robinhood. Our team works closely with product, design, data, and partner engineering teams to make a complex financial product feel clear, intuitive, and trustworthy.

As a Web Developer on this team, you would help build and scale customer-facing web experiences for Robinhood Crypto, contributing to products that support international users from onboarding through trading and funding. You would partner closely with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to ship high-quality features, support the launch of the web app in new markets, and help create safe, seamless crypto experiences as the platform expands.

This role is based in our Toronto, ON office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

• Create high-quality, performant products that leverage technologies like React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS
• Own and drive features from inception and design to implementation and launch, being the web expert on your team
• Build and improve tools to support Robinhood's operations and platforms, providing leverage across the company
• Collaborate with design and product experts to rapidly iterate and ship financial products
• Build frameworks and abstractions to materially accelerate and empower other developers

What you bring

• 3+ years of full-time professional experience with modern Web standards, technologies, and frameworks
• Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
• Obsessed with building a best-in-class developer experience
• Have a track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
• Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed.

Base Pay Range:

Toronto, ON$136,000—$160,000 CAD
