We’re currently looking for a People Operations Manager to join our People Team onsite in Berlin. In this role, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and efficiently across a diverse and growing global team. You’ll be at the heart of our day-to-day people operations, and above all, a kind, humble, and approachable presence that supports our team at every stage of their employee journey.

You will:

Be a consistent source of support to our team

• Be a welcoming, approachable, and reliable guide for team members through the different stages of their lifecycle at AMBOSS, offering proactive and thoughtful support that enhances the employee experience.

• Together with the team, co-own our employee support channels via Zendesk, resolving queries with empathy, efficiency, and attention to detail.

• Prepare and manage essential documents such as contracts, amendments, side letters, certificates, and reference letters.

• Support the smooth running of our international payroll processes, collaborating closely with the Finance team and external partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Optimize workflows & leverage AI

• Maintain impeccable data integrity in our HRIS, keeping employee records accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations.

• Lead and contribute to People Operations initiatives: from streamlining workflows to launching process improvements, ensuring every project helps us scale smarter.

• Leverage and incorporate AI and automation tools into People Ops workflows to help us work more efficiently.

Shape the future of People Operations

• Actively contribute to strategic projects on our People Roadmap.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Managers on key initiatives and cross-departmental projects.

You bring:

• People Ops experience: 1-3 years hands-on experience in People Operations with confidence in navigating tasks across the full employee lifecycle.

• Labor law knowledge: A solid understanding of German labor law and HR compliance standards.

• You're a kind and thoughtful communicator, able to build trust and foster connection across teams.

• Advanced German skills and your are confident in both verbal and written communication.

• Hands-on & solution-oriented: Practical approach, whether tackling daily administrative tasks or driving initiatives, you take ownership with care and efficiency.

• Proactive & tech-minded: A service-oriented mindset, proactive in identifying support opportunities, with a keen interest in using AI and modern tools to optimize workflows.

• Strong attention to detail and high commitment to confidentiality, ensuring sensitive matters are handled with professionalism.

Great if you:

• Enjoy turning complex requirements into seamless People Operations workflows.

• Have experience supporting multiple legal entities and People Operations across global markets, and enjoy navigating the complexities of an international, growing organization.

• Love optimizing processes and embracing AI-powered tools, using automation and best practices to create smarter, more efficient People Operations experiences.
