Executive Private Adviser – Private Bank

  • Based at Westpac on Takutai Square | Britomart, Auckland CBD
  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Base salary + 10% superannuation

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior, market-facing role within Westpac Private Bank, working with some of New Zealand’s most significant private wealth relationships.

As an Executive Private Adviser, you’ll operate at the top end of the market—bringing deep expertise, a strong personal brand, and an established network to grow and shape a high-value client portfolio. This role is designed for an experienced Private Bank Adviser already performing at a high level, who is motivated by influence, autonomy, and the ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Mō te Tūranga – About the role

This is not an entry or development role. We’re looking for someone who’ll be key in driving Private Wealth’s growth strategy—building and deepening relationships, while identifying new opportunities across key sectors and networks.

Working at the centre of influence, you’ll partner with internal specialists and external networks to bring the full breadth of Westpac’s Private Bank offering to life.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of high-value clients with complex needs
  • Leading new client acquisition through strong networks and market presence
  • Delivering tailored, holistic financial advice across wealth, banking, and investment solutions
  • Collaborating nationally with Private Bank, Wealth Office, Corporate Banking and specialist teams
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with client influencers and intermediaries
  • Driving business growth through proactive, strategic engagement in market

You’ll also work closely with a Private Banking Associate/Executive Private Consultant to deliver a seamless, high-touch client experience.

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? – What do I need to be successful?

We’re looking for a seasoned professional who is already operating at a senior level in private banking, wealth management, or a comparable environment.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience advising high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • A proven track record of originating and converting new business opportunities
  • Established networks across professional, corporate, or investment communities
  • Deep expertise across financial markets, lending, and complex wealth structures
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities
  • Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • A strong personal brand and presence in market

To be successful, you’ll be someone who thrives in a highly relationship-driven environment, is proactive in identifying opportunities, and is motivated by delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
