
Clinical Lead
Habit Health is one of New Zealand’s largest integrated health providers, supporting people to achieve their best possible health, function, and independence.
We’re looking for an experienced Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership and support the continued growth and excellence of our Musculoskeletal (MSK) services across the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne regions.
This is listed as a full-time role, but we would consider part time for the right candidate. In terms of location of work, you must be based in Hawkes Bay.
Please note this is not a direct people management role, but you will provide clinical expertise, mentoring, and professional leadership across the region.
Main responsibilities:

Partner with Regional and National Clinical Leaders to further develop and enhance Habit Health’s MSK service offering

Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and support to a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and other allied health professionals

Maintain a clinical caseload, delivering high-quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for clients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions

Promote evidence-based practice and ensure clinical services are delivered to the highest professional standards

Support clinical excellence through case reviews, peer mentoring, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives

Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, referrers, ACC, employers, and key stakeholders

Contribute to service innovation and initiatives that improve client outcomes, service delivery, and operational performance
The successful candidate will have:

A genuine passion for delivering exceptional musculoskeletal rehabilitation outcomes

Strong understanding of contemporary MSK assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation approaches

Brings warmth, credibility, and clinical confidence to your leadership style

Must hold a Physiotherapy degree, a postgraduate qualification in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy, and a current APC.

At least five years’ clinical experience (leadership exposure highly valued)

Experience working within private practice, rehabilitation, ACC, vocational rehabilitation, or community-based MSK services

A full driver’s licence (travel required between regions)
