Ō Mahi | What You’ll Do
- Work alongside people of all ages in their own homes to maintain, or build, independence
- Facilitate and support community activities like shopping, appointments, and social engagements
- Promote choice making and skill building
- Provide safe, respectful, person‑centred support, recognising what matters to each person — including their culture, values, beliefs, routines, and boundaries
- A positive, 'can do' attitude and proven reliability
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting others
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of community support and/or Enabling Good Lives principles
- Commitment to culturally safe, respectful support for people from diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to meet individual preferences and needs
- Full driver’s licence
