As a Principal Civil Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership and design management across a diverse portfolio of land development, Three Waters and civil infrastructure projects. Working alongside clients, project teams and stakeholders, you'll drive high-quality outcomes, mentor emerging engineers, and help grow WSP's presence in the market. **What you'll do** + Lead the planning, design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure and Three Waters projects, including pipelines, pump stations, stormwater and land development projects. + Provide technical leadership, engineering expertise and design management, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard of quality and technical excellence. + Prepare and review reports, feasibility studies, designs, calculations, specifications, contract documentation and construction estimates. + Undertake construction supervision, contract administration and technical reviews while managing project risks and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation. + Build and maintain strong client relationships, facilitate stakeholder engagement and provide trusted technical advice to support informed decision-making. + Support business growth by contributing to proposals, strategic pursuits and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value for clients. + Coach, mentor and support colleagues across the wider team, sharing knowledge and fostering technical excellence. **About you** + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. + Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent professional registration. + 10+ years' experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure, land development and/or Three Waters projects. + Strong technical capability across civil infrastructure design, project delivery and engineering advisory services. + Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage stakeholders and build lasting client relationships. + Commercially minded with experience developing proposals, identifying opportunities and contributing to business growth. + A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others and is committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes. + Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence. **Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.** We are proud to have the blueprint of Aotearoa New Zealand in our DNA and our 2,000+ expert professionals in 24 offices are united by the common purpose of creating positive, long-lasting impacts on the communities we serve.
