We see the world through a Future Ready® lens, fuelled by a shared commitment to making a positive impact-one project and community at a time. **Civil Materials Laboratory Cadet - Taupo Laboratory** Our laboratories play a vital role in supporting Aotearoa's infrastructure by testing a wide range of civil engineering materials - including aggregates, soils, concrete, and bitumen. This work helps ensure quality, safety, and performance for projects across the manufacturing and construction sectors. We're looking for a motivated Cadet or junior Technician to join our Taupo Laboratory team. This is an entry-level opportunity, and no previous laboratory experience is required - we'll provide full training. We're seeking someone who is physically capable, enjoys hands-on work, and has an interest in pursuing a career as a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician. You'll also be comfortable with basic data entry and flexible to work occasional overtime when needed. In this role, you'll contribute to a variety of projects across both laboratory and field environments, supporting work that helps shape the future of our communities. **About you:** + Experience in labour or trades-based roles (e.g. construction, roading, warehousing, farming) is advantageous + Strong physical fitness and ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment + Basic computer skills and confidence following digital instructions + A team player with good communication skills + Willingness to travel and work overtime when required + Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence Please note that applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights in New Zealand, as this role is not eligible for Accredited Employer Work Visa sponsorship.
