Mechanical Plumbing Supervisor - Central Otago
Location: Central Otago // Queenstown region
Pay Rate: Competitive salary/package based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Plumbing Supervisor to join a well-established team delivering a range of commercial and mechanical services projects across Queenstown and the wider Central Otago region.This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a strong background in mechanical plumbing who can effectively manage site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
The Role
- Supervise and lead mechanical plumbing installations on commercial projects
- Coordinate daily site activities and workforce allocations
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Ensure work is completed safely and complies with industry standards
- Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Monitor productivity, quality, and project milestones
- Mentor and support apprentices and tradespeople
- Assist with planning, procurement, and scheduling requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical plumbing, ideally within commercial construction
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience
- Strong understanding of HVAC, hydronic, chilled water, heating, and mechanical piping systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and project stakeholders
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Full New Zealand driver's licence
- Relevant plumbing or mechanical trade qualifications
