
Administrator - The Psychology Centre
This is a dynamic and rewarding role offering vital administrative support to the staff at The Psychology Centre (TPC). As the first point of contact, you'll handle reception, respond to enquiries, and process client referrals. You'll also manage client databases, schedule group therapy sessions, and maintain filing systems.
Your responsibilities will also include liaising with off-site record archives, assisting with financial record-keeping (including purchasing and payments), and providing support with word processing, data entry, and the upkeep of TPC equipment and office supplies. In this role, you will also be responsible for supporting financial management tasks, including processing and tracking payments, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with TPC and university policies. Your contributions will be crucial to ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the Centre.
Salary will be $73,235 per year pro-rata based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a part-time role (18.75 hours a week, 0.5 FTE), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

The Psychology Centre (TPC) within Te Kura Whatu Oho Mauri, the School of Psychological and Social Sciences aims to enhance clinical psychology education and training. TPC focuses on evidence-based assessment and intervention, clinical research, and advanced training for practising psychologists. The Centre also develops specialised mental health programmes for children, youth, and adults in the Waikato region, collaborating with key partners such as the University of Waikato, Te Whatu Ora, ACC, and Waikato Primary Health.
