About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our client's team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and equipment while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults in diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Repair or replace engines, gearboxes, differentials, suspension, steering, and brake components.
- Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace safety standards.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to meet Australian skills assessment and visa requirements.

- Minimum 4 years of recent experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
- Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
