Team Manager
At Green by Nature, we're more than just a greenspace maintenance team - we're passionate about keeping Henderson and the surrounding West Auckland areas clean, green and thriving. As a trusted partner of the Auckland City Council, we take pride in maintaining the regions parks, playgrounds, gardens, infrastructure, and public spaces. To support our mission, we're seeking a Team Manager for our Mowing Team.
What does a Team Manager Mowing do, you ask?
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for a team of Mower Operators that support our work across the Henderson region. As the team lead, you will maintain a hands on approach, helping build a team who are focused and driven to achieve excellence and pride in what they do while exceeding our clients expectations.
What we're looking for:
Our ideal candidate has prior experience either in landscaping and maintenance or a similar industry, showcasing proven leadership in achieving team success. You will be approachable, thrive in unexpected situations, and make informed decisions to instil confidence in your team. Other qualities and skills we are looking for include:
- High work ethic, not shy of getting on the ground to support your team
- Ability to go the extra mile for clients
- A full, clean class 1 drivers licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle (essential)
- Top notch planning and organisational skills allowing you to manage your workload effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as internal and external stakeholder engagement is a large component of this leadership role
- Lead health and safety awareness and knowledge within your team
