Are you passionate about beauty and get joy from making people feel and look their best?

We are looking for permanent part-time (fixed term) Retail Assistants (Summer Hosts) to support our New Zealand stores during the lead up to one of the busiest times of the year. These positions are anticipated to run from late October into November 2026 through to January 2027, this may be subject to business operational needs.

Our Summer Hosts play a vital role as the face of our stores, creating a welcoming and engaging experience for every customer. They proactively greet customers on the shop floor, provide product knowledge and guidance, and connect customers with the right in-store specialist when needed. Through their support, Summer Hosts help customers feel informed, confident, and empowered throughout their beauty journey.

Availability

  • Holiday is our busiest and most exciting time of year, so we're looking for team members who can genuinely flex across our busiest trading times. This means being available across weekdays, weekends, extended trading hours and public holidays. The more flexibility you can offer, the more opportunities you'll have to pick up shifts and support our customers and team throughout the season.

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience and create authentic connections with customers 

  • Play a key role in supporting the wider team with on-floor presence throughout holiday and ability to pivot (or pirouette as we like to say!) as  

  • Work effectively as part of the team to support running of the store in a safe, fun and efficient way

  • Confidently and consistently delivers exceptional experiences for our customers 

  • Demonstrates strong product knowledge for MECCA’s hero brands and products  

  • Shows an active commitment to continuous learning and improvement
