
Utility Worker
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Utility Worker to join our team. This is a hands-on, outdoor role supporting the delivery of utility and infrastructure services. You’ll work as part of a crew carrying out site preparation, labouring, and installation work while ensuring all safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
-Carry out site preparation, hazard identification, and set up safe work areas in line with Safe Work Practices
-Perform general utility and labouring duties including trenching, digging, lifting, and equipment installation
-Identify underground services and obstructions prior to excavation
-Ensure all tools, equipment, and PPE are available, compliant, and fit for purpose
-Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance at all times
-Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational, regulatory, and customer requirements
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly and accurately
- Represent
the company professionally when interacting with customers and the public
About You:
-Experience
in labouring or utility work (preferred)
-Comfortable with heavy lifting, digging, trenching, and manual tasks
-Ability to read and understand plans and obstruction drawings
-Enjoy working outdoors in all conditions
-Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
-Full Class 1 & 2 driver licences (required)
-Class 4, Class 5, and WTR endorsements are an advantage
-Excellent safety record
-Good
verbal and written communication skills
