We're looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead a portfolio of Skechers and Dr. Martens stores across Auckland & The North Island, driving commercial success while developing high-performing teams and delivering exceptional customer experiences!
About the Role
You'll be responsible for leading multiple stores across both brands, partnering closely with Store Managers to maximise sales, develop talent, and ensure operational excellence.
You'll have the autonomy to treat your region like your own business, using your commercial mindset and leadership expertise to deliver outstanding results while championing the unique identity of both Skechers and Dr. Martens.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as an Area Manager, Cluster Manager or Multi-Site Manager within a fast-paced retail environment
A strong track record of driving sales performance and achieving KPIs across multiple stores
The ability to lead autonomously, making strategic decisions that positively impact regional performance
A growth mindset with the ambition to progress into senior leadership roles
A passionate people leader who thrives on coaching, developing and inspiring others
Strong operational expertise across visual merchandising, stock control and wage management

Sales and Performance

Own regional performance by driving sales, KPIs and exceptional customer experiences across all stores
Analyse trading results, identify opportunities and implement strategies to maximise performance
Lead from the front by supporting Store Managers to deliver consistent results

Coaching and Leadership

Coach and develop Store Managers to build high-performing, engaged and accountable teams
Create a fun, energetic and results-driven culture across your region
Lead succession planning and talent development to build future leaders

Operations

Oversee day-to-day operations across all stores, ensuring consistency and excellence
Manage wage spend, rostering and productivity across your region
Maintain high standards across visual merchandising, stock accuracy and shrinkage control
Ensure all stores comply with health and safety policies and procedures
