
Process Operator - Can Filling
Based in Hamilton, Dairy Goat Co-operative is a manufacturer, developer, and exporter of premium, niche, consumer-packaged nutritional powders. It is one of the region's leading exporters, serving international markets via its marketing partners and joint venture relationships. The markets are located primarily in Asia and Europe.
At DGC, we manufacture exceptionally high-quality and well-regarded infant formulas, feeding babies and supporting families all over the world.

About the role:
The role of Process Operator is to ensure the efficient operation of the Can filling production line. The Process Operator must adhere to DGC Health and Safety protocols, as well as our Food Safety program. All plant activities must be conducted in a manner that ensures compliance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
About the day-to-day responsibilities:
- Be part of a team that produces high-quality infant formula.
- Ensure very high levels of plant hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Operate packing and filling machines.
- Forklift operation, handling raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow quality requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Complete quality and process documentation.
- Work closely with the team to meet production requirements.
About the skills and experience required:
- 2-3 years of dairy experience or Infant Formula experience is highly advantageous.
- Prior experience in food processing and production alternatively preferred.
- Technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Computer literate.
- Physically fit with a high level of personal hygiene.
- Attention to detail and quality focused – we operate in a highly regulated food industry.
- Effective communication skills and personal safety awareness.
- Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated team player.
- Adaptable, proactive, can-do attitude.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving capability.
- Full Driver’s License (as the role includes shiftwork).
- OSH certified Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
