Join us as a Reliability Engineer and play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations performing at their best. Working collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Manufacturing Support teams, you will help shape and deliver a robust asset care strategy that drives reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. By combining data-led analysis with proactive asset management practices, you will identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, optimise maintenance programmes, and reduce unplanned downtime. Your expertise will help ensure our operations remain safe, efficient, and capable of consistently delivering the high standards our business and customers expect.

The Recipe (About the Role)

  • Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to improve maintenance programmes, asset care, and equipment reliability across all sites.
  • Support the reliability roadmap and asset care strategy to enhance reliability, maintenance performance, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring data accuracy, reporting effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead maintenance reporting, key performance indicator (KPI) governance, and analytics to drive informed decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Support the implementation of factory technologies, including Condition-Based Monitoring, improving equipment connectivity and real-time performance visibility.
  • Provide reliability expertise to engineering projects, embedding reliability, safety, hygiene, and lifecycle best practices from design through to commissioning.
  • Champion Early Equipment Management (EEM), ensuring new assets are introduced safely, efficiently, and with long-term performance in mind.
  • Lead criticality assessments, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), and risk-based maintenance activities to optimise maintenance strategies.
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, implementing effective solutions to improve equipment reliability and reduce repeat failures.
  • Deliver value optimisation initiatives that improve asset performance, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainable manufacturing.
  • Ensure maintenance and reliability activities comply with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations.

The Ingredients (What we need from you)

Key Know How:

  • Technical expertise in reliability engineering, with an engineering background. Understanding of maintenance improvement and asset management
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of maintenance methodologies and analytical tools, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Condition‑Based Monitoring (CBM), Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM) and asset criticality
  • Proven experience using and improving Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring data integrity, accurate maintenance planning, and effective performance reporting.
  • Understanding of engineering standards, maintenance best practice and relevant compliance requirements, including PUWER, LOLER, and other statutory maintenance obligations.
  • Experience supporting the development and commissioning of new equipment, through structured processes.

 

Business Expertise

  • Understanding of end‑to‑end manufacturing operations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver the reliability strategy.
