DOF is seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team. Based in our warehouse and reporting to the Logistics, Assets and Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in supporting DOF's supply chain and project logistics activities, ensuring equipment, materials and documentation are managed safely, efficiently and in compliance with company and client requirements.
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will support the mobilisation and demobilisation of project equipment, coordinate logistics and customs requirements for domestic and international shipments, and ensure the safe storage and handling of goods. You will work closely with internal project teams, suppliers, freight forwarders and marine agents to ensure equipment and materials are delivered on time and in accordance with operational requirements.
You will also contribute to maintaining a safe, organised and efficient warehouse environment while supporting inventory control, asset tracking and reporting activities.
Responsibilities:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of project equipment through the warehouse and various port locations.
- Receive, unload and inspect purchased goods and Company Provided Items (CPI), ensuring compliance with DOF requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation, packing and shipment of equipment and materials to domestic and international locations
- Maintain logistics and customs documentation for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare shipment documentation, including manifests, packing lists, commercial invoices and consignment paperwork.
- Liaise with Project Managers, freight forwarders, marine agents, suppliers and customers regarding logistics requirements.
- Support goods receipting activities within company systems.
- Update and maintain inventory records and asset registers using electronic warehousing systems.
- Coordinate items requiring repair and ensure appropriate documentation is generated and maintained.
- Assist with the handling, packaging and shipment of Dangerous Goods in accordance with regulations.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely when required.
- Support the generation of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Vendor Reports.
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections and stock checks to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and safety throughout warehouse and storage areas.
- Provide efficient support and service to internal stakeholders and project teams.
- Relevant experience in a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment.
- Qualification in Warehousing, Logistics or a related field (preferred).
- Experience using electronic inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Forklift Licence
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Sound understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage competing priorities.
