We are seeking an experienced Internal Loss Adjuster to join our Property and Masterpiece claims team and help deliver a high-quality, market-leading claims experience for our customers and brokers.

This is a market-facing role where you will play a key part in the investigation, management, and adjustment of high-end residential property claims. You’ll represent Chubb with confidence and care, working closely with customers, brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to achieve fair, timely, and well-supported outcomes.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a Chubb representative when visiting customers to gather information needed for the claim process

  • Make informed evaluations of damage and quantum

  • Provide formal reporting to Chubb examiners in line with Best Practice Guidelines and Claim Handling Instructions

  • Build trusted relationships with brokers to strengthen confidence in Chubb’s claims service

  • Attend Masterpiece market meetings and support training or presentations where appropriate

  • Liaise with builders, jewellers, restoration companies, and other service providers

  • Identify potential fraud and subrogation issues

  • Support the Property claims team with claim handling

  • Engage with key stakeholders to help ensure a smooth and efficient claims journey

  • Manage your workload and diary effectively

  • Be mobile and available to travel domestically for short periods, including during catastrophe events

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with strong technical capability, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to service excellence. Ideally, you will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as ANZIIF or equivalent

  • 3+ years’ experience in loss adjusting

  • 2+ years’ experience managing property claims

  • A strong customer service ethic

  • The ability to influence and negotiate effectively

  • Confidence communicating and building rapport with a wide range of stakeholders, from high-net-worth clients to tradespeople

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to prepare clear claim reports

  • Sound structural building knowledge

  • Strong self-management and time management skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with high-net-worth customers or high-value homes

  • Experience developing and delivering training
