Jobs by Adzuna

At Anthony Harper, we thrive on delivering innovative and creative legal solutions that challenge conventional thinking. With offices in Auckland and Christchurch, we're known for partnering with clients to drive meaningful business outcomes while also ensuring that every person at our firm feels valued and supported to reach their potential.

About the opportunity

Our Commercial Property Team acts for developers and other property clients on residential and commercial development projects across New Zealand. Our work includes major development and urban regeneration projects, residential conveyancing, subdivisions and related property transactions. You’ll join an experienced, supportive team and contribute to matters from the early project stages through to settlement.

Based in Auckland, you’ll assist with residential conveyancing and subdivision work for residential development projects, together with a range of other property transactions.

Working closely with partners, lawyers and clients from an early stage, you’ll have genuine responsibility for progressing files, with accessible supervision and support to keep extending your technical knowledge and commercial judgement.

What you’ll do

  • Work with key clients on residential development projects, including coordinating pre-sale agreements, negotiating with purchasers, reporting to clients and liaising with purchasers’ solicitors.
  • Assist with residential sale and purchase transactions, together with some commercial transactions.
  • Support subdivision work for residential and commercial development projects.
  • Undertake property searches, due diligence and LINZ-related tasks, and maintain accurate matter records and key dates.

  • Liaise with clients, lawyers, banks, councils, surveyors and other parties to keep matters moving and communicate progress clearly.

About You

You’ll be a qualified Legal Executive, or bring equivalent relevant experience, with a sound grounding in residential conveyancing. Experience in subdivisions, development projects or Landonline would be an advantage. You’ll be organised, accurate and confident communicating with clients and other parties, with the judgement to progress matters independently and seek guidance when needed.

Shape your career at Anthony Harper

At Anthony Harper, you’ll be part of a collaborative team where partners are accessible, your ideas are welcomed and career development is shaped around your strengths and interests. You'll work on diverse, challenging matters with hands-on training, direct exposure to clients and a clear opportunity to develop a distinctive practice. With a strong focus on wellbeing and opportunities to have a positive impact on our communities, we foster an environment where you can do excellent work and build a career that is genuinely your own.
