
Mitre 10 MEGA Papamoa Kitchen Designer
It’s an exciting time for us as we get ready to open our brand-new Mitre 10 MEGA store at Papamoa East October 2026.
Locally owned and operated, we’re passionate retailers who take pride in supporting our team to deliver great service and practical solutions for our customers. As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we’re now recruiting a Kitchen Designer Team Member to join our new store across our showrooms, hardware, paint, seasonal, and power garden departments. These are a full-time role, working between in total and include 30-40 hours per week across 3 to 5 days, including one weekend day.
A bit about the job:
- Supporting the kitchen designer to manage the Kitchen Design department
- Working closely with the Retail Manager to improve stock availability and inventory control
- Ensuring customers receive outstanding service every time
- Promoting a positive, engaged team culture
A bit about you…You’ll bring:
- An eye for kitchen design
- Previous experience with kitchen bathroom designs
- Previous retail supervisory experience
- Customer focus and clear communication, with the ability to listen and understand customer needs
- Attention to detail in presentation and ticketing, and pride in maintaining store standards
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new product ranges and tasks
- Teamwork across departments, along with a reliable and proactive approach
- Strong organization skills and the ability to juggle a busy workload
- A friendly, confident and approachable communication style
- A proven sales mindset with a focus on understanding customer needs
- High energy, self-motivation and a strong work ethic
