
Vocational Rehabilitation Lead

Habit Health is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to lead and grow our Vocational Rehabilitation Service in Wellington. This is an opportunity to influence service delivery, mentor clinicians, strengthen stakeholder partnerships, and help more people achieve successful return-to-work outcomes across the region.
Main responsibilities:
In this role you will have the opportunity to expand vocational rehabilitation services across the Wellington region, strengthen referral partnerships, and directly influence return-to-work outcomes for clients and employers.
- Lead and champion the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Service across the region, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centred outcomes
- Coordinate and triage new referrals, ensuring clients receive timely and appropriate support from the outset of their rehabilitation journey
- Empower and support a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to deliver exceptional rehabilitation services and achieve positive client outcomes
- Facilitate and lead local multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best-practice care
- Drive continuous improvement by monitoring service quality, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing effective solutions
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and professional guidance to employees and contractors, supporting their development and success
- Partner closely with the Regional Manager and Team Leads to support team performance, wellbeing, and capability, helping to build a positive and high-performing culture

The ideal candidate:
You may be an experienced vocational rehabilitation clinician looking for your first formal leadership role, or an established team leader seeking a fresh challenge. We are ideally looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years' clinical experience with a focus on vocational rehab
- Excellent relationship building and leadership skills
- Sound ACC operational, medical and policy knowledge
- Member of professional associations required by ACC contracts
