An established dental practice in Gore is seeking a dentist to join its friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a new or recent graduate or a more experienced dentist looking for a long-term position with strong clinical support and an unusually generous employment package.
The practice provides general dentistry including restorations, hygiene treatment, extractions, endodontics and periodontics, serving a loyal rural community that values and appreciates its local dental service. The clinic has OPG and you will work alongside a highly experienced dentist, dental assistants and administrative support staff.
There are no daily production targets, with a strong emphasis instead on professional development and high-quality patient care. Mentoring, CPD and training are provided by a highly experienced dentist, making this particularly attractive for a recently qualified clinician looking to develop their confidence and experience.
The starting salary is $120,000-$200,000, negotiable depending on experience. The wider package can include registration and indemnity costs, a vehicle, accommodation for the first eight to 12 weeks, student loan support, assistance with relocation costs and a performance-related bonus.
Candidates of all experience levels will be considered, with new and recent graduates particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be patient-focused, confident discussing treatment plans and interested in becoming part of the local community.
Gore offers an affordable and relaxed Southland lifestyle with a close-knit community, excellent schools and good sporting, recreational and cultural facilities. Invercargill is approximately 45 minutes away, while Dunedin can be reached in around 90 minutes.
Candidates must be eligible for registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand (DCNZ). This typically includes dentists qualified in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Canada* or the United States*. Candidates with other qualifications should check their eligibility with the DCNZ before applying.
USA and Canadian qualifications must be from DCNZ recognised accredited dental schools.
