The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Community Manager to join the Founders Forum Events team and play a key role in growing and engaging our community. This permanent role is for a mid-level individual who is eager to develop their skills in tech, events, and community management.

As a Community Manager, you will work closely with our community and events teams to engage with our network of tech entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs, and investors. Your day-to-day tasks will include researching new guests for the events you manage and curating guest lists, handling event communications such as invitations, tailoring copy for different audience segments and nurture outreach, managing our database and CRM, managing the community inbox, and overseeing community operations like guest registration. You’ll also be responsible for curating event marketing materials and reporting on guest data. You’ll also play an integral role onsite at our events, welcoming our guests and ensuring they experience the very best of Founders Forum.

The Role:

    • Research and onboard new members to the Founders Forum community keeping our CRM data accurate and comprehensive
    • Pull and compile lists of potential invitees and speakers from external networks, partner organisations and internal teams
    • Curate VIP guest lists for our premium events, reviewing names in collaboration with our content and partnerships team where relevant
    • Stay up to date  across tech, business and political news to flag new prospects and community members
    • Analyse segments of the Founders Forum database using to identify growth opportunities, leveraging tools like Pitchbook, Dealroom, our CRM, and other sources
    • Build and maintain Looker dashboards, provide regular status updates, and act on various reports
    • Write and adapt compelling copy for different audience segments to deploy across various platforms
    • Build and manage event registration sites on Swoogo, coordinate invitations, registrations, and handle event enquiries via the team inbox
    • Create community-facing event materials (e.g., FAQ webpages, guest books, event app content, name badges, seating plans)
    • Act as a community ambassador onsite at various Founders Forum events, building relationships with guests in person
    • Troubleshoot in real time to make sure every guest has a smooth, memorable experience
    • Post-event follow-up, feedback capture, thank yous, flagging new relationships that came out of the event, building on our list of allies for future events
    • Contribute ideas on engagement, new formats and ways to add value for the global Founders Forum network

This is the role for you if…

    • You have a passion for technology and its broader context, including current affairs, politics, innovation, and entrepreneurship
    • You're comfortable with gen AI tools and pick up new platforms quickly
    • You're a highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership of projects, prioritises well under pressure and adapts fast when workflows change last minute
    • You can work independently and take ownership of projects by inferring information and taking initiative 
    • You're great at receiving feedback and quick to action it within your workflow
    • You’re a team player who is happy to assist colleagues with tasks as required
    • You’re highly detail-oriented and capable of managing many moving parts simultaneously 
    • You’re comfortable working independently behind-the-scenes as well as being client-facing
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a community, events, or other relevant role
    • Experience working in events, either as part of a previous role or in a dedicated events role
    • Experience preparing and presenting research, reports, and data-driven insights 
    • Aptitude for data analysis and a natural curiosity
    • Highly proficient writer with a creative knack for effective copywriting
    • Cool, calm collected – you’re a problem solver who immediately pivots to find solutions 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
    • Comfortable using AI tools like Claude to streamline day-to-day work, with a genuine interest in finding new ways AI can make our processes faster and smarter
    • Highly proficient with generative AI Tools, data visualisation tools, and MS Excel/Google Sheets
    • CRM experience required. Salesforce or Attio experience an asset
    • Event Registration platform experience (especially Swoogo) an asset 

Interview Process:

  • Preliminary call
  • In-person task-based interview
  • Final call, meeting with the Director of Marketing
  • 25 days annual leave, additional leave between Christmas and New Years Day, and option to work remotely anywhere in the world for 3 weeks/year (1 week over Easter and 2 weeks in summer)
